my approach
I am passionate about what I do and genuinely love being a therapist. There is no greater reward than watching a client's life improve and seeing meaningful changes in their mental health. Knowing that I have played a role in that growth and healing brings deep purpose to both my work and my life.
Therapy requires vulnerability from both the client and the therapist. There is something incredibly powerful about creating a space where two people can engage authentically, knowing that openness and trust can lead to significant and lasting change.
I'm often asked to describe my therapeutic approach. While therapy is a complex process that cannot be fully captured in a few sentences, I generally view my role as having two primary responsibilities.
First, it is my responsibility to create an environment where clients feel safe sharing deeply personal thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Therapy should be a place of peace, stability, and acceptance—a space where clients never feel judged and are consistently met with empathy, authenticity, and respect.
Second, therapy must provide effective solutions and meaningful progress. Drawing from a variety of evidence-based approaches—including Family Systems, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential Therapy, and others—I tailor treatment to meet each client's unique needs and goals.
Throughout my career, I have heard two common complaints from individuals about previous therapy experiences: they either did not feel truly heard, understood, or listened to, or they did not feel therapy was effective. Because of this, I work hard to ensure that every client feels deeply understood while also receiving practical tools, insights, and interventions that create real change.
